We want to take you to the Leipzig and Halle. On Friday and Sunday, you can discover the student town of Leipzig where Goethe studied and the 1989 Monday demonstrations began. These demonstrations turned out to be the beginning of the end for the GDR and the first stept to the reunification of Germany. On Saturday we'll go to Halle. The town was barely destroyed in the war, so it's architecture has been largely preserved alongside a newly renovated centre. Martin Luther also lived here for a few years. Since we're going on the second weekend of advent, we can also visit the Christmas markets in both towns. We'll sleep in Leipzig on both nights and make a day trip to Halle on the Saturday. Breakfast on Saturday will be included. On Sunday morning, we've planned an international breakfast, so bring along something to share with the group at breakfast or you can buy something in Halle or Leipzig. Bedding, transport, accommodation in the hostel and breakfast on Saturday is included.
You will need to buy tickets for this trip in advance, during one of our office hours.
